At Glen Forest Elementary, we are proud to be a Title I school, which means we receive federal funding to help provide extra support for our students. Title I focuses on giving every child the same opportunity to succeed, no matter their background.
But funding alone isn’t enough. That’s where the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) comes in.
What Does PTO Do?
The Glen Forest PTO builds a bridge between families, teachers, and the school. Together, we:
Organize after-school clubs and enrichment activities
Provide teacher and staff appreciation events
Help fund field trips, classroom supplies, and technology
Host family events like the Fall Festival and Fun Run
Connect families with local resources and community partners
Why It Matters
For a Title I school, family involvement is key. Research shows that when parents are engaged, students:
Have higher attendance and achievement
Build stronger relationships with teachers
Feel more connected to their school community
Even small efforts — like attending a meeting, volunteering for 30 minutes, or sharing ideas — create lasting impact.
How You Can Help
Join the PTO – memberships are affordable and support all programs.
Volunteer your time – from setting up events to sharing your skills.
Spread the word – encourage other families to join or attend events.
Partner with us – connect local businesses or resources to the school.
Together We Make a Difference 💙💛
The Glen Forest PTO helps ensure that every student — regardless of background — has access to the same opportunities to grow and thrive.
✨ Your voice, time, and support matter more than you think.
