Want to help at Glen Forest but not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered. Volunteering with the Glen Forest Elementary PTO is simple, flexible, and makes a huge difference for our 800+ students and 140+ staff.
Step 1 – Register with FCPS
All volunteers must complete a quick FCPS Volunteer Registration form.
👉 Register here (takes less than 5 minutes).
Step 2 – Choose an Opportunity
You don’t need hours of free time — even 30 minutes helps! Options include:
Helping at family events (Fall Festival, Fun Run, Book Fair)
Setting up teacher appreciation breakfasts
Handing out flyers or helping at Spirit Nights
Bringing baked goods or bottled water
Walking students to after-school clubs
Step 3 – Show Up & Make an Impact
Arrive 10–15 minutes early, check in at the PTO table or with the event lead, and you’re set! PTO volunteers work together so you’ll never feel alone.
Why Volunteer?
Your child sees you involved in school — a big confidence boost.
You’ll meet teachers, staff, and other families.
Every role, big or small, strengthens our Title I school community.
Quick Volunteer Facts

✨ Together, we make Glen Forest stronger when everyone gives a little time.
